Parable of the Talents / TV Spec Script based on "Evil"
When Ben’s sister Karima is hospitalized for a mysterious seizure, Ben, with David and Kristen’s help, battles Harbor Hospital’s systemic incompetence or possibly an evil influence to get answers about her condition. Will Ben get pulled into embracing the metaphysical to cope with the tragedy and to save his sister? Meanwhile, David, following a tip from Leland, is disturbed by a nefarious influence of a biblical passage on the hospital’s new anti-discrimination protocol. He defies Monsignor’s guidance and attempts to rehabilitate the passage in hope of seeing God, while Kristen is intent on looking out for her family, no matter the cost.

About Me
Born in Riga, Latvia, Dan Kinber immigrated to the United States in 1993. He graduated from Wesleyan University (2001) with BA in Computer Science and French Studies, which included the study of art history and literature in Paris, France. Dan has also studied classical piano since the age of five, which later influenced the subject of his short films. After taking directing and cinematography courses at School of Visual Arts and New School University, Dan went on to receive an M.A. in Cinema Studies from New York University - Tisch School of the Arts (2005).
In 2006, he wrote and directed “Audition” (2006), about an Israeli cellist’s agony before an important audition, as she’s torn between her career in New York and nostalgia for home. Dan continued the music theme in a documentary “Countdown” (2009), capturing another musician’s anxiety before a critical step in her career, set against the backdrop of a momentous presidential election. In 2011, Dan founded mustbeheard.org, for which he conducted in-depth video interviews with health care providers, analysts, and beneficiaries of the Affordable Care Act, analyzing its impact on health care costs, quality of care, the economy, and small businesses. Dan currently works as Health Policy Analyst at Mathematica in Cambridge, MA. |
